Hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, David Angu is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music producer celebrated for his unique fusion of indigenous Tani tribal folk melodies with contemporary folk, rock, and indie music. Through his project, David Angu & The Tribe, he has been instrumental in preserving the rich musical heritage of Northeast India while presenting it through a fresh, modern sound that resonates with audiences across the country and beyond.
Over the years, David has performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals, including Ziro Festival of Music, Hornbill Festival, RRRec Fest (Indonesia), North East Festival (Bangkok), and Orange Festival, Dambuk. He has also represented Indian folk music on international stages, including performances in Japan.
This special Mumbai show promises an immersive live experience featuring soaring vocals, powerful storytelling, rich tribal influences, and an electrifying band performance.
