Diwali Pahat
Lalat Harmony Events presents "Diwali Pahat," a grand musical morning celebrating the spirit of Diwali through Indian classical, fusion, devotional, and Marathi music, featuring renowned artists Pt. Pravin Godkhindi and Shridhar Phadke, along with an accomplished ensemble of performers.
Date: 11th November 2026
Time: 6:15 AM to 9:45 AM
Venue: Prabodhankar Thackeray Auditorium, Borivali West, Mumbai
The musical morning will begin at 6:15 AM with Pt. Pravin Godkhindi, one of India's accomplished exponents of the bansuri (flute). From 6:15 AM to 7:45 AM, he will present a captivating Hindustani classical fusion flute performance, blending the depth and serenity of Indian classical music with contemporary musical expressions. The soulful sound of the bansuri at sunrise will create a refreshing and uplifting beginning to the traditional Diwali Pahat celebration.
Following a short interval, the second part of the programme will commence at 8:00 AM with Shridhar Phadke, one of the senior and highly respected names in Marathi music. Son of the legendary singer and composer Sudhir Phadke, fondly remembered as "Babuji," and singer Lalita Phadke, Shridhar Phadke carries forward an extraordinary musical legacy while having established his own distinguished identity as an accomplished singer and composer.
From 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM, Shridhar Phadke will take the audience on a melodious journey through Sugam Sangeet, Bhakti Geet, and a special selection of timeless songs immortalised by his legendary father, Sudhir Phadke (Babuji). The presentation will celebrate both Shridhar Phadke's own musical journey and the treasured musical legacy of Babuji, which continues to hold a special place in the hearts of generations of Marathi music lovers.
Joining Shridhar Phadke on stage will be accomplished singers Shilpa Puntambekar and Mona Kamat Prabhugaonkar, adding further musical richness, variety, and vocal harmony to this special presentation.
The entire programme will be gracefully woven together by Mangala Khadilkar, a senior and highly respected compere and a distinguished presence in the Marathi cultural world. Her presentation, warmth, and deep association with Marathi music and culture will add another special dimension to the overall experience.
Diwali Pahat brings together two distinctive musical experiences in one memorable festive morning, beginning at sunrise with Pt. Pravin Godkhindi's Hindustani classical fusion flute and culminating with Shridhar Phadke's soulful presentation of Sugam Sangeet, Bhakti Geet, and the timeless melodies of Babuji.
With Shilpa Puntambekar and Mona Kamat Prabhugaonkar joining Shridhar Phadke, and Mangala Khadilkar as the compere, the programme promises to be a beautifully curated celebration of music, melody, legacy, devotion, and the festive spirit of Diwali.
Presented by Lalat Harmony Events, which has been organising musical events since 2015, Diwali Pahat is envisioned as a premium cultural celebration for audiences in Mumbai, and an excellent opportunity for sponsors to associate their brand with celebrated artists, Marathi musical heritage, and a distinguished live musical experience.
