About The Event
Indian classical music has a rich heritage of thousands of years. Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Memorial Foundation has been working tirelessly for the past 40+ years for the revival and spread of rich Indian classical music. The foundation organises "Diwali Pahat Maifil" on the first day of Diwali (Narakchaturdashi).
This year, the 33rd year of Diwali Pahat is being organised on Sunday, 8th November, at 6:30 AM.
This maifil includes melodic treats by legendary artists: classical vocals by Vidushi Meenal Datar, and semi-classical vocals and Natyasangeet by Swaradhiraj Kokangandharva Pt. Rajabhau Shembekar.
Be privileged to experience a daybreak with enriching classical music.
