About The Event
This is a two-day storytelling event that can be attended by purchasing a single season ticket.
It was Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's dream to expand Hindavi Swarajya from Thanjavur in the south to Peshawar in the north. His successors took up this task and extended the boundaries of the Swarajya all the way to Attock, situated on the banks of the Indus.
By 1760, the Maratha empire stood at its zenith as a pan-India power, with no other force across the subcontinent strong enough to challenge its dominance. It was the rise of Ahmad Shah Abdali, founder of Afghanistan, that challenged Maratha supremacy in the north and eclipsed them in the famous Battle of Panipat in 1761.
Panipat isn't just a battle that was fought in a day. It carries a long history leading up to the battle, gripping sequences during the battle itself, and an equally fascinating aftermath.
The story of the battle that changed the history of Hindustan deserves to be told in great detail. Because stories aren't just meant to be told, it's remarkable when, on their own, they unfold.
