About The Event
Guru Smaran 2026 marks the 10th edition of the annual musical tribute presented by the Pt. Haridas Shenoy Sangeet Seva Trust, celebrating the timeless Guru–Shishya Parampara and the enduring legacy of Hindustani classical music. The event will be held on 28 November 2026 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru.
With the theme “Different Streams. One Tradition.”, this special edition brings together acclaimed maestros and distinguished artists from diverse classical traditions. At the same time, it provides a meaningful platform for emerging talent and inspires younger generations to connect with and appreciate India’s rich musical heritage.
The programme will feature two captivating performances:
- Shri Krushna Salunke and his six-member ensemble will present the rich and vibrant tradition of the Pakhawaj, showcasing the depth and grandeur of this ancient percussion art form.
- The second performance will feature a vocal recital by Pt. Vinayak Torvi, accompanied by Pt. Ravindra Yavagal on tabla and Pt. Vyasamurthy Katti on harmonium.
