About The Event
Hansika is an adaptation of Swan Lake, the ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, in the context of Indian classical dance, Odissi. Inspired by the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse, the production explores the humane aspect of the plot through the Indian world of raga, taal, laya, and rasa.
