About The Event
Independent singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Harpreet brings his soulful voice to the timeless verses of Kabir, Bulleh Shah, Faiz Ahmad Faiz and Shiv Kumar Batalvi, alongside his original compositions, creating an intimate meeting of song, poetry and storytelling.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Harpreet brings poetry, music and storytelling together in a performance that moves between celebrated verses and his own compositions in Hindi, Urdu and regional languages. With a soulful, expressive style, he gives familiar poetry a fresh musical dimension, allowing its ideas and emotions to resonate in new ways. Moving between songs and narration, he creates a performance that is both reflective and deeply engaging, with each piece opening up a different mood and perspective.
Harpreet’s original song Kho Gaye Hain Woh, featured in the second season of the acclaimed series The Family Man, found a special place in the hearts of listeners. His repertoire has taken him to leading cultural and literary platforms in India and around the world, including Mahindra Kabira, Jaipur Literature Festival, Rajasthan International Folk Festival, Kochi Biennale, Kalinga Literary Festival, India by the Nile in Egypt, Kalaa Utsavam in Singapore and the Abu Dhabi International Book Festival. His North American tour was warmly received by audiences across the Indian diaspora, reflecting the emotional resonance of his work across cultures.
