FOR KIDS AGE 9 - 12 YRS
Monsoon Improv presents a fun 4 week theatre based workshop in Pune, where kids can play, create, imagine and find their unique voice!
Through storytelling games, improvisation exercises and playful theatre activities, children learn to think on their feet, express themselves confidently, listen to others and turn unexpected moments into something creative.
No acting experience is required. There are no scripts to memorize and no pressure to perform. Its a space for children to experiment, make things up, take creative risks and have fun.
Over four weeks, the workshop explores listening, spontaneity, collaboration, trust, and physical expression, while building skills that extend well beyond the theatre.
Your one time payment to register gives you 4 weekend (Saturday) classes:
Oct 24th (Week 1): Listening & Yes, And
Learning to listen closely, respond with curiosity, share ideas and build on what others bring.
Oct 31st (Week 2): Spontaneity & Making Choices
Taking creative risks, making choices without overthinking, and becoming comfortable with the unexpected.

14th Nov (Week 3): Collaboration & Trust
Creating stories and imaginary worlds together while learning to support others, contribute freely and trust the group.
21st Nov (Week 4): Character & Physicality
Exploring characters through movement, voice and imagination, and discovering how our bodies can tell stories too.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
The workshop is led by Saket Jawaji, a theatre and film professional with 10+ years of experience across film, television and stage. He has worked as a writer, script editor and filmmaker in Mumbai, and trained in improv with Chicago-based improvisers including Joe Bill and Paloma Nunez.
He has performed at the Ottawa Improv Festival and regularly performs improv in Ontario across long-form, short-form, narrative and competitive formats. His experience also includes improvised Shakespeare, directing improv teams, facilitating improv jams and teaching advanced improv workshops to adults in Canada.
