About The Event
Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is one of the world's largest travelling film festivals rooted in India.
Started in 2010, JFF is an initiative of the Jagran Prakashan Group to promote the appreciation of cinema across India, extending beyond major metropolitan cities.
The festival brings together filmmakers, actors, industry professionals and cinema lovers on a common platform to celebrate the art of storytelling. Audiences have the opportunity to attend exclusive conversations, interactive sessions and question and answer discussions with acclaimed national and international filmmakers and artists.
Every year, JFF receives over 7,000 film entries from more than 100 countries. After a rigorous selection process by an eminent preview panel, around 500 outstanding films are selected for screening during the festival. The festival is inaugurated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in New Delhi and travels across 10 states, reaching an audience of over 500 million people.
JFF also recognizes excellence in cinema through a prestigious awards programme, where filmmakers and artists are honoured across multiple categories with awards and cash prizes at the grand finale in Mumbai.
