About The Event
Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is one of the world`s largest travelling film festivals, rooted in India.
Started in 2010, JFF is an initiative of the Jagran Prakashan Group, aimed at promoting the appreciation of cinema beyond the major metropolitan cities of India.
JFF brings together filmmakers, artists, industry professionals and cinema enthusiasts to celebrate the art of filmmaking. Audiences get an opportunity to interact with national and international cast and crew through in-conversation sessions and interactive Q&A sessions.
Every year, JFF receives over 7,000 film entries from more than 100 countries. Eligible films are reviewed by an experienced preview panel, with several panelists associated with the National Film Awards. Following a rigorous selection process, around 500 films are selected and screened across the festival over 100 days.
JFF travels across 10 states of India, reaching audiences across a population of more than 500 million. The festival also features competitions across various categories, judged by distinguished jury members.
The festival culminates in an Awards Night in Mumbai, where filmmakers and artists are honoured for their outstanding contribution and achievements in cinema, along with awards and cash prizes.
