About The Event
Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is one of the world's largest travelling film festivals rooted in India.
Started in 2010, the festival is an initiative of Jagran Prakashan Group aimed at promoting the appreciation of cinematic art across India, extending beyond the major metropolitan cities.
JFF fosters a vibrant culture of cinema by creating a platform where filmmakers, artists, and movie enthusiasts come together to celebrate storytelling. The festival offers audiences a unique opportunity to interact with renowned national and international cast and crew members through exclusive conversations and engaging Q&A sessions.
Every year, JFF receives over 7,000 film entries from more than 100 countries. All eligible films are reviewed by an eminent panel of preview experts, including several members associated with the National Film Awards. Following a rigorous selection process, nearly 500 outstanding films are chosen for screening during the festival's 100-day journey.
The festival is inaugurated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in New Delhi and travels across 10 states, reaching an audience of over 500 million people.
Through its prestigious competition, judged by some of the finest names in the film industry, JFF honours filmmakers and artists for their exceptional contributions to cinema across various categories. Winners receive awards and cash prizes at the grand awards ceremony held in Mumbai.
