About The Event
Joy of Movement is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body and spend an evening exploring movement in a relaxed, supportive space.
Over three hours, the session will bring together gentle guided movement, music, writing, reflection and a sharing circle. The activities are designed to help you become more present, release some of the tension held in the body and experience movement without pressure or performance.
During the workshop, you will
Explore simple movement and rhythm-based exercises
Use music as a way to connect with the body
Respond to guided writing and reflection prompts
Participate in a facilitated sharing circle
Create space to pause, breathe and move at your own pace
This is not a fitness or dance class. You do not need any previous experience, flexibility or special skills to participate. Simply wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move easily.
