About the Masterclass:
1. Giriraj Stuti : (in Abhinaya)
From the Ramcharitmanas by Goswami Tulsidas Presented by Sita
In this beautiful excerpt, Sita offers the Giriraj Stuti, a prayer to Goddess Parvati.
Just as Parvati performed deep penance to attain Lord Shiva as her husband, Sita too pours out her heart in devotion, praying to the Divine Mother to bless her with Shri Ram.
It is a moment of pure emotion of faith, surrender, and longing. Through this stuti, Sita reflects the strength of a woman`s prayer, where devotion becomes the bridge to destiny. A timeless expression of love, patience, and unwavering trust in God.
2. Jhaptaal : Beyond One Taal
Taal and Nritya are the heart of Kathak tradition.
In this masterclass, we train dancers to go beyond familiarity and gain command over 10 beats named Jhaptaal .The goal is simple, to build capable artists who can adapt, perform, and excel in different rhythmic frameworks. We will be doing various Traditional Bandishes, Footworks, Kavitt and much more exciting for Kathak dancers in Taal Jhaptaal
