What can a sushi roll teach us about food, culture, technique and precision?
Tiny Chef Club invites young chefs to explore one of Japan's most iconic foods through a hands-on sushi making workshop. Children will discover the culture and heritage behind sushi while learning to make every element of their roll from scratch, guided throughout by our culinary educators.
What will they explore?
The story, culture and heritage of sushi
Preparing and seasoning sushi rice from scratch
Age-appropriate chopping and knife skills
Creating and balancing their own sushi fillings
The technique of rolling, shaping and slicing sushi
Precision, coordination and confidence in the kitchen
Following a recipe and process from start to finish
Small-group workshop, Limited to 8 children per session, Guided by chefs, Ages 6+
