About The Event

Krithin Ku Kalyanam

At this point, my marriage has become a community project.

My parents are trying. My relatives are trying. My barber has suggestions. Even people who met me exactly once at a random wedding do not remember my name, but somehow remember I am still single.

"Kalyanam eppo?"

I have heard that question so many times, it feels less like a question and more like my surname.

I have tried dating apps, survived dates that should have ended with the starters, sat through ponnu paakara meetings where everyone was interviewing everyone else, consulted astrologers who confidently disagreed with each other, and collected enough "We will get back to you" messages to wonder if I was applying for a job instead of looking for love.

So I thought... why suffer alone when I can sell tickets?

Krithin Ku Kalyanam is my attempt to make sense of this entire circus. It is about relatives who care a little too much, family WhatsApp groups, emotional blackmail disguised as concern, horoscope negotiations, impossible expectations, and modern dating, which somehow manages to be even more confusing than arranged marriage.

Expect stories I probably should not be telling, a special guest comedian, a PowerPoint presentation because some stories need evidence, and, if fate is feeling particularly mischievous, a live matchmaking segment on stage.

Best case? I find someone.

Worst case? You get a great comedy show.

Age 16 and above.

Contains strong language, questionable life choices, family drama, and relationship trauma.

Come with your partner. Come with your friends. Bring your parents if they are willing to laugh at themselves.

If you are single, you will leave feeling seen.

If you are married, you will leave wondering where it all went wrong.

This is not a wedding invitation.

It is what happens when you stop asking, "Why is this happening to me?" and start asking, "Can I at least make this funny?"
