About The Event

A still pond, a lotus in bloom, set in resin that looks like water.

Lotus Pond Resin Art is the most striking thing we make. You build a miniature pond scene from scratch, shaping lotus flowers and lily pads, arranging them across the surface, and pouring clear tinted resin so it sets like still water around them. The finished piece has real depth. Light moves through it.

Our instructor takes you through every stage: shaping and colouring the lotus blooms and leaves, planning your composition so the pond reads as natural, mixing and tinting resin to the right shade of water, pouring in controlled layers, and finishing the surface cleanly. You can add a small boat or fish to the scene if you want to.

WHAT YOU MAKE

Your own lotus pond resin piece, built and poured by you, to take home at the end of the session and cure over the following days.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

- All materials: base, resin, pigments, lotus and leaf materials, tools and finishes

- Nitrile gloves and safety equipment

- Step-by-step instruction throughout

- A finished piece to take home

IMPORTANT: HOW RESIN WORKS

Resin does not set in a single session. Your piece will still be wet when you leave and needs to be carried home flat and left undisturbed for 48 to 72 hours to cure fully. We will give you clear instructions at the end of the session.

This is normal for resin and it is worth the wait. Anyone who tells you resin can be finished start to finish in two hours is not telling you the truth about the material.

WHY PEOPLE BOOK THIS ONE

Because nothing else looks like it. The depth of poured resin cannot be faked with paint, and a lotus pond catches light in a way flat art never will. It is the most impressive piece in our catalogue and the one people are most surprised they made themselves.
