Abheesh Sasidharan shares unexpected moments happened from a voyage through the tributaries and distributaries of river Meenachilar. The unexpected moments of his life and ancestors lives come in between the performance like an estuary. The displacements of animals, human, plants and their identities in the water bodies created new whirlpools in performance. The escapes for dignity from humiliation from the extraordinary writings in the book titled Manjadikkari by young historian Vinil Paul and archival research with a collective though the river for sound, visuals and objects together contributed to new experiences in performance.
The performance Meenachil R is a self reflection of a performance practitioner on his own identity, caste system, undisclosed slavery, vernacular histories, aesthetics and moving water bodies in Keralam.
