About The Event
'A metaphor is a figure of speech that compares two different things by stating that one is the other'. In this workshop, participants will be led into connecting theatrically (and intuitively) with metaphors. We will use visual, bodily and sound/word-based expressions to present metaphors, especially for feelings. The idea is to evoke symbolic imagery using our playful imagination. We will draw from the drama worlds of Improv and Playback theatre. Open to both children and their adults.
The workshop will be led by Akash Narendran, a Bangalore based artist who has engaged with theatre and music for more than a decade now. He facilitates workshops for organisations, performs playback theatre, and sings.
Age range: 12 to18 years
Note: This workshop will be conducted in English, with Kannada translation.
