Guided Listening Session
Trendsetters & Milestones of Hindi Cinema Music (1931-1980)
From time to time, with the introduction of instruments like Dholak, Latin Percussions, Double Bass, Accordion, Vibraphone, Sythesizer, etc, the shape and sound of Indian music changed forever. Add to that, the capability of 'playback' singing, multiple microphones and evolving technology of sound recording and movie making; every successive decade was producing different music than the other.
Come for a talk by Archisman Mozumder and Kushal Gopalka, aided by song recordings guiding you through a journey of 50 years of unique fusions called Hindi cinema music.
