Paper Plane Poetry: Mango Edition

Yes, you’ll eat a Mango (carbide free). Yes, you’ll write a poem (AI free).

AND

You’ll immerse in a space to learn how to give words to your experience from memory and sensory play. Prompts, ideation, and the act of writing, the whole process will be held and facilitated for you.

This is an intimate slow space to observe deeply and allow expression to emerge naturally through the senses.

Prior writing experience NOT required.

What you’ll explore:

* Poetry writing through sensory awareness and observation (sensory maxxing)

* Creative prompts to navigate your memories and bring attention to what calls you

* Techniques to refine your process

You’ll leave with:

* An original written piece

* A creative process to continue writing at home

* Taste of a delicious mango AND your poem in your mouth


Open to adults and children aged 12+.


Facilitated by Angshuman and Rishita, poets and educators with 7+ years of experience in facilitating poetry as a lived, embodied, and shared experience.


Angshuman Sarma is an educator, therapist, and nationally recognized spoken word poet working at the intersection of creativity, psychology, and human potential.

Over the past decade, he has mentored more than 1,000 students in creative writing, performance, public speaking, and reflective practice, helping young people cultivate voice, confidence, and emotional depth.

He has been featured at TEDx MSRIT, TEDx Jain University, Times Lit Fest, Spoken by Kommune, and the Arunachal Pradesh Literature Festival, and is a finalist of both the National Youth Poetry Slam and the National Story Slam by Kommune.


Rishita Acharya is an educator, poet, and permaculturist with over 7 years of experience facilitating creative and reflective learning spaces for young people and adults.

She has curated generative writing spaces through a safe and exploratory community born during National Poetry Writing Month. She specializes in designing creative writing and poetry curricula for middle school and above; having mentored individuals of various age groups in their expressive journey.

Her work often brings together nature, art, writing, and sensory awareness.
