About The Event
GRACE Foundation presents the fourth edition of "Raagdari GENNXT परंपरा की नयी सोच"
The event will be held in the intimate, acoustic setting of the iconic Prithvi Theatre. It is curated by Shashi Vyas and managed by Pancham Nishad, the renowned brand in the field of Indian classical music events.
There will be 4 sessions of vocal and instrumental performances through the day, with a well-designed repertoire to give you a wholesome experience of the myriad and vibrant raags of Indian classical music.
Session 4: 7:15 PM featuring Pratik Shrivastava (Sarod) | Dr. Kaustuv Kanti Ganguli (Vocal)
Pratik Shrivastava – Sarod
Pratik Shrivastava is an accomplished sarod exponent of the Maihar Gharana tradition, whose music reflects a deep engagement with the instrument's rich classical vocabulary. Initiated into the sarod at the age of six by his grandfather, eminent sarod maestro Pandit Rabi Chakraborty, he continued his training under his uncle Dr. Rajeeb Chakraborty and is presently guided by Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar. A recipient of the Government of India's National Scholarship and other prestigious fellowships, Pratik began his performing career at the Salt Lake Music Conference in Kolkata. His musical journey has since taken him across the world, with performances and workshops in Jordan, Germany, France, England, Australia, and the USA. His artistry reflects discipline, depth, and a sustained commitment to the sarod tradition.
Dr. Kaustuv Kanti Ganguli – Vocal
Dr. Kaustuv Kanti Ganguli is a distinguished Hindustani classical vocalist of the Patiala Gharana, known for his work in Khayal and Thumri-Dadra. Initiated into music at the age of four, he is a disciple of Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty and a scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. A performing artiste since the age of twelve, Kaustuv has appeared at the Dover Lane Music Conference, Serendipity Arts Festival, Arohi, Gharana GenNext, and numerous international festivals. His honours include the President's Award, Ministry of Culture Scholarship, NCPA Scholarship, Gaanwardhan Award, and Yuva Gaandharva Puraskar. Alongside his musical career, he is Professor of Computing at Zayed University, UAE, where he pursues research in AI and computational musicology.
