About The Event

Roots & Resilience

You know when you are clearly feeling something , but you cant quite put your finger on what it is?

You might know the story, understand the pattern, even know what you should be doing about it, and still find yourself wondering, okay, but what am I actually feeling?

We are pretty used to trying to think our way through these things. Talk about it. Find the right words. Make sense of it.

But what if you came at yourself another way?

Roots & Resilience is a 90-minute gathering for woman to explore what happens when we use more than just words to get closer to whats going on inside us.

Through images, colour, conversation, body awareness and movement, the gathering offers different ways of noticing and expressing what we feel.

The gathering was created by Rachika Komal, a psychotherapist and founder of Therapy with Rachika, out of a curiosity about the many ways we come to know ourselves. Her work in somatic psychotherapy has made her particularly interested in what can emerge when words arent the only way in.

So come spend a Saturday afternoon playing with some of those possibilities. You will leave with a few new ways of paying attention to yourself, a little more language for what you're feeling, and your own Somatic Resilience toolkit to take home.

We'll be at TreeHouse, Indiranagar, an open, airy and slightly quirky space, with tea and coffee to settle in with.

Come on your own or bring a friend. With just 14 people, it'll be a small, intimate gathering with plenty of room to participate, chat and connect.

Note: This is an experiential gathering, not a therapy session or clinical training.
