About The Event
Founded in 2018 by pianist Madeleine Cazenave, ROUGE quickly established itself as a leading presence in the French new jazz scene.
This piano, double bass and drums trio creates atmospheric music rooted in a quest for simplicity, drawing inspiration from cinema, classical music and contemporary pop-folk. Each composition evokes a rich palette of images, colours and emotions, moving between softness, intensity and intimacy.
With Vermeilles, their second album released on Label Bleu, ROUGE reaches a new milestone, showcasing greater maturity and collective mastery. Their melodic and colourful compositions blend traditional jazz with contemporary soundscapes, creating music that is both sophisticated and accessible.
