About The Event
Samanvay Arts Festival 2026 (Golden Jubilee )
Celebrating 50 years of artistic excellence, the Samanvay Arts Festival 2026 is a Golden Jubilee celebration of Indian classical arts, thoughtfully curated by Dr. Veena Murthy Vijay. Taking place on 19-09-2026 at the Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru, this one-day festival has been designed as an immersive artistic journey that brings together learning, performance, and meaningful dialogue.
The day begins with Adavu Jam, an interactive and collaborative session that encourages creative exchange, exploration, and engagement among artists and audiences alike. This is followed by performances by the young dancers of Sri Rajarajeshwari Kalaniketana, celebrating the next generation of performers and the institution’s enduring commitment to nurturing artistic excellence.
The evening unfolds with two specially curated productions—Sathyabama and Apsara. Satyabhama presents the iconic heroine through four distinct classical dance traditions, celebrating the richness of India’s diverse artistic vocabulary while remaining rooted in tradition. Apsara explores the stories of eight celestial beings, weaving together themes that connect the divine and the earthly through evocative movement and storytelling.
Together, Satyabhama and Apsara celebrate the strength, grace, and evolving voice of women by reimagining timeless stories through a contemporary artistic lens while remaining deeply rooted in tradition.
