Return of a Historic Journey from "Shivai Te Navalai"
On August 17, 1990, a programme of Marathi songs titled "Shivai Te Navalai," produced by Houshi Kalawant and presented by Sudgil Foundation, was launched. Many experiments of this programme were staged until 2002 in various theatres and social organisations across Maharashtra. The journey stopped for some time due to the artists' work, business, and family responsibilities.
Now, on 23rd October 2026 at 8 PM, this programme is coming back to its fans in a new colour and in a new way at Acharya Prahlad Keshav Atre Rangmandir, Kalyan.
The journey from the time of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to today, the thoughts behind the establishment of Hindu Swarajya, and the relationship of those thoughts with today's society: how far have we come according to those thoughts? This introspective question is posed throughout this scripted programme.
Songs ranging from Abhang, Powada, Lavani, and Koligeet to various songs of today's age, impressive choreography, quality sound design, lighting, and stage techniques will be experienced in this programme.
It is a heartfelt request that every Marathi mind experience this artistic journey, which gives a memory of history, awareness of the present, and thought for the future.
Your presence and overwhelming response is the real energy of our artists!
