One ticket for two separate amazing concerts on August 12


Swaralaya Sandhya 2026 is a celebration of the finest artists from the great world of Carnatic music, and it is a reaffirming event that promises melody, rhythm, Sahitya, Bhakti, folk essences, and devotional verses on the two days of the festival of its staging. 

Swaralaya Sandhya 2026 is an offering of music and Swaras on August 12, and 14, 2026, at the prestigious Chowdiah Memorial Auditorium, Bangalore. All the concerts begin at 6:30 PM.


The first concert of August 12 features the Mandolin Maestro Mandolin U. Rajesh, who shall be presenting a Mandolin Recital along with his Coartists. On the Mridangam is Bangalore Praveen, Khanjira is Guru Prasanna and on the tabla is Praveen Narayanan.


Mandolin U. Rajesh started playing Carnatic classical music on mandolin at the age of 6, and performed his first concert, at Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham in the presence of His Holiness Shri. Chandrasekara Saraswathi. Rajesh is an ardent devotee of the Param Acharya of Kanchi. He is also a follower and devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and has performed before him on several occasions. He was specially honoured by the President of India in 2007

Mandolin U Rajesh and Veena Ramana Balachandhran


The second concert of August 12 features Veena prodigy and Maestro Ramana Balachandra, who was awarded the A-grade artist at the age of 16. He has played at all leading venues and sabhas and draws an audience of all age groups. He hit the national and global headlines for his enchanting track on the veena for the international hit film Dhurandhar, along with singer Arijit, under music director Shaswat. He plays with clarity and depth of expression and his Ragam Thanam Pallavi is always a delight to experience. Ramana Balachandhran is one of the very few Veena Artists who experiments Voco Veena which means Singing along with Veena.

The second event begins at 8 PM

Ramana Balachandhran is accompanied by very popular Mridangist Vidwan Shri BC Manjunath and on the khanjira by Vidwan Shri Guruprasanna
