Talks on Tap looks at bringing back old school salon-style conversations. These speakeasy-style conversation series celebrate local histories, personal narratives and journeys and legacies in intimate, atmospheric venues, surrounded by gentle sounds, hushed conversations and stylised story tellings. Limited seating will make the evening personal and curated meals and drinks will be ideal companions as we explore unconventional topics.
This evening titled "Tarruf-e-Tawaif" is an exquisitely curated engagement which affords you a peak into the world of courtesans, the enigma they represented, the stigma they bore and the power they held. The evening will tell stories that were never meant to be told softly. An intimate conversation around the woman behind the word - and the making of a cultural stereotype.
