About The Event
Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with a hands on Tanjore art experience that brings together tradition, creativity and craftsmanship.
In this special workshop, you will create your very own Ganesha inspired Tanjore artwork while being guided through the techniques that give this heritage South Indian art form its distinctive richness and detail.
Each participant will receive a 6 x 8 inch pre sketched Ganesha Tanjore art board and work through the process of creating raised embellishments, applying genuine 24K gold foil, and hand painting the artwork with step by step guidance.
Along the way, you will also discover the history, artistry and traditional techniques behind Tanjore painting.
