November is round the corner Yes its Ruhaniyat time again

The time to go within time to rejuvenate the soul time to connect with the messages of the wise ones Especially when surrounded with so much strife so much distress so much chaos India has been fortunate to have experienced the presence of many saints mystics realised masters through centuries all around the country Their wisdom through their works teachings and compositions has become part of the collective memory and continues to survive even today Mostly orally transmitted through generations enriched by memories of maybe family history or even ones own personal inner journey these works can provide solace support and strength Banyan Trees Ruhaniyat brings alive such messages of mystics and saints from across centuries and continues to be not just among the most loved events today but is equally relevant for the times too The only festival of its kind in India and probably even around the world this national festival will be once again presented in all the four corners of India in all the 8 cities i e Mumbai Delhi Bengaluru Kolkata Hyderabad Chennai Ahmedabad and Pune Once again the audience will be enthralled with some amazing but unheard-of living traditions come alive on the main stage Once again the carriers of some near-extinct forms expressions of our enchanting timeless intangible heritage will receive a new lease of life through Ruhaniyat Of course some of the all time favourites too will be presented

Presenting Ruhaniyat once again in all the 8 cities is possible thanks to the consistent support from the national presenting partners Tata Consultancy Services And the ever growing love and enthusiasm of the audiences in each of the cities Conceived and curated by Mahesh Babu Founder-Director of Banyan Tree as always this edition of Ruhaniyat too presents unique forms and artists from other countries as well Among the others this year we have three new guest countries participating i e South Korea Nigeria and Oman With that we cross the mark of 30 for our guest countries through this journey Each year in each city a Global Production is curated by Mahesh Babu which brings a live Vasudhaiva Kutambakam the ancient Indian concept in a truly powerful manner Witnessing the boundaries melt away is not just heartening it makes one realise that in the process the festival also creates robust cultural bridges that spread so much joy love and hope on and off the stage These bridges have only grown from strength to strength tiding over all the man made divides of colour language religion region and so on As always this year too we have some never seen before forms like Chhattisgarhi Bastar Band Love epic of Sahiba & Mirza from Punjab Gussadi from Telangana to name a few Come experience some solace some peace and some hope at Ruhaniyat especially in the present times of uncertainty fear anxiety even if for just few hours
