About The Event
Founded by artists and connoisseurs of the arts, THE GREEN ROOM®—an evolving cultural ecosystem based in Bengaluru, India, and rooted in artistic tradition, collaboration and creative expression—presents its Launch Edition 2026.
The evening features a distinguished double-bill concert.
It opens with the legendary Kalaimamani Padma Shri Drums Shivamani in TAAL & TIME—a powerful solo percussion experience exploring rhythm, sound and improvisation.
The second presentation, MRIDANGA TABLA SANKEERTHAN, brings together a stately 12-piece rhythm ensemble—conceived and composed exclusively for this occasion by the legendary Taalyogi Padma Shri Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, and accompanied by a special Kathak presentation.
Conceived as a tribute invocation to Ustad Zakir Hussain, the evening also marks the official launch of THE GREEN ROOM®.
