About the Storyteller

Ravie Solanky is a multi disciplinary artist based in New Delhi with over 16 years of experience in graphic design, filmmaking, photography, stage performance, and content creation. He is the founder of The Social House, Indias most loved poetry and storytelling platform with more than 2.6 million subscribers.

He began his creative journey as a graphic designer and photographer, working closely with leading radio stations in Delhi and photographing well known personalities including Ranbir Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sunny Leone, and many others. He has also created model portfolios, including one for Anjali Raghav, and completed full featured shoots for artists such as Sufi singer Hamsar Hayat.

His passion for visual storytelling led him into filmmaking. He has curated and served on the jury for the Whatashort Independent International Film Festival and the International Open Film Festival, Bangladesh. He also conducts workshops on photography and filmmaking for aspiring creators.

A familiar name in Delhis literary community, Ravie hosts "Poetry Storytelling aur Chai", a weekly open mic that has completed more than 600 editions. He also performs his solo storytelling production, "The Kahaaniwala Show". Through his audio storytelling podcast, "Kahaaniwala", he brings memorable stories to life with his distinctive narration.

As a passionate Urdu educator, Ravie founded "The Project Urdu" with the aim of preserving Hindustani zabaan. He teaches poetic forms, pronunciation, literary traditions, and classical structures, while regularly conducting workshops on stage presence, spoken word, and technical writing.

Ravie has created marketing films for global NGOs including Viva con Agua and Welthungerhilfe, using storytelling as a medium for social impact. His love for cinema inspired "Lights Camera Nostalgia", a series dedicated to Bollywood legends through thoughtful, well researched episodes.

He has judged poetry competitions at more than 25 leading institutions, including IITs and IIMs, and has mentored over 2500 emerging artists. Through his video podcast, "On Camera with Ravie", he has had engaging conversations with Jatin Sarna, Nikhil Vijay, Nitibha Kaul, and many other notable personalities.

Featured by Radio Mirchi, Doordarshan, and Social Samosa, Ravie continues to create meaningful work that reflects his deep love for language, people, and honest storytelling.
