About The Event
Harmonizing Natya and Ayur Shastra
Curation and concept - Kalashri Dr. Lata Surendra
Where does the medical text end, and the dance text begin?
We are thrilled to announce a ground breaking cultural and wellness showcase.
This extraordinary evening is an exploration of kinetic healing, where the moving metaphor of dance meets the timeless, therapeutic science of Ayurveda.
This curation by Dr Lata Surendra explores a beautiful truth through artists who have crossed seventy winters that the body is a living palm-leaf manuscript. Every crease of the face tells a myth, every deliberate stance mirrors Ayurvedic structural stability, and every breath commands the stage.
Witness this sacred synthesis of Natya Shastra and Ayur Shastra brought to life across generations and genres: the evening showcases some of the seasoned Exponents of dance forms - legendary masters over the age of 70 who will demonstrate how the natural biological transitions of aging become cosmic transformations, shifting away from exhausting acrobatics to command the stage through the pure depth of lived experience.
The dialogue and performances by leading Classical dance Exponents concludes with a unique modern presentation by Sreejith Dancity, where Contemporary dancers will deconstruct these ancient concepts of Prakriti, Gunas, and Doshas. Through fluid, innovative choreography by Sreejith they will map the internal, microscopic healing energies of Ayurveda onto a modern canvas—proving that these concepts are timeless, fluid, and universally transformative.
This is more than a performance. It is a testament to ageless living, cultural continuity, and movement as medicine
