The India Behind the Stories. Diwali Camp by The Motley Otters.
This Diwali, take your child on a fascinating journey through 5 of India`s historic empires including, the Maurya`s, Guptas, Cholas, Mughals and Marathas. Through engaging storytelling, creative art, hand- on experiments, building challenges and playful exploration, children will discover the ideas, inventions, architecture, traditions and inspiring personalities that shaped our rich cultural heritage. A joyful, immersive experience where history comes alive through curiosity, creativity and play.
Daywise Highlights
Day 1 Maurya: The story of kind King Ashoka, lion diya making and our Kindness Tree
Day 2 Gupta: Aryabhata and the stars, star lanterns, night-sky splatter art and Day & Night Freeze
Day 3 Chola: The tiger kings, temple building and silk-thread weaving
Day 4 Mughal: Gardens and tiny paintings, earthy mud painting and a jewelled Taj Mahal
Day 5 Maratha: Shivaji Maharaj`s forts and building our own Diwali killa
Woven into every day: Dance, Music, STEM, LEGO, Fitness
Each session blends history, art, movement and values like kindness, curiosity, teamwork and courage, all in an age appropriate, playful way.
