In this guided, hands-on workshop by Deepakriti Institute of Creative Arts, you will explore the art of trunk restoration and mixed-media surface styling. Moving step by step from a raw metallic base to a finished decorative piece, you will combine vintage botanical motifs, bold geometric striping, and 3D relief stenciling to create a functional art object for your home.
What You Will Learn & Create:
- Surface Prep & Base Priming: Learn how to prepare a metal trunk surface so paints and textures adhere smoothly and last for years.
- Color Blocking & Stippled Blending: Create warm, vintage-inspired gradients, crisp striped borders, and metallic rim highlights.
- Botanical Detailing & 3D Relief Work: Apply classic floral focal motifs on the lid and build raised 3D leaf-and-vine relief textures along the sides of your trunk.
