Pune spends four months under an umbrella. This one will be yours.
Umbrella Painting is the most satisfying scale we work at. You start with a plain light-coloured umbrella, opened and secured upside down on the table, and paint across the whole canopy. Mandalas radiating from the centre, branches climbing the panels, florals, monsoon skies. It is big, bold work, and the finished thing is impossible to miss.
Our instructor takes you through the whole process: planning a design that works with the panel seams instead of fighting them, mixing paint to the right consistency so it does not bleed into the fabric, working in thin flexible layers so the design survives being opened and closed, and building up colour across the canopy evenly. Templates and design references are on hand if you would rather not start freehand.

WHO IT IS FOR
Complete beginners are welcome. No drawing ability needed. The scale is large and forgiving, which makes it one of the easiest workshops to do with zero artistic confidence. Good for solo bookings, friends and couples.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Runs for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours
- No prior experience needed
- All materials provided, just bring yourself
- Fabric paint is permanent on clothing. Wear something you do not mind marking
- Your umbrella needs to stay open until the paint is fully dry. Care instructions are provided at the end of the session
