WHAT MOVES US
Acting Intensive with Manas Gupta (FTII Alumnus)
10th and 11th October 2026 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
The Trialogue Studio, Mayur Vihar, Delhi
What moves an actor before they even speak?
What Moves Us is a 2-day acting intensive exploring the inner impulses, mental monologue, imagination and physical responses that make performance feel alive and truthful.
Across two days, participants will work with impulse, imagination, improvisation, movement, mental monologue, sensory awareness and play to discover a more spontaneous and responsive approach to acting.
The workshop draws from different acting practices and approaches, while keeping the focus on one essential question:
Can we respond to what is happening rather than trying to manufacture a performance?
What we'll explore:
Impulse and spontaneous response
Imagination and inner images
Improvisation and play
Movement and physical expression
Mental monologue
Listening and presence
Discovering truthful behaviour
This is not about learning how to act a certain way. It is about creating the conditions in which something genuine can emerge.
Who is it for?
The workshop is open to actors, theatre practitioners, performers, storytellers and non-actors who are curious about exploring their creative and expressive selves.
No professional acting experience is required.
Come with curiosity, openness and a willingness to experiment.
Facilitator: Manas Gupta - FTII alumnus, actor and acting facilitator
Limited seats available.
