About The Event
This is an annual fest hosted by the YWCA Of Bangalore City. What makes YWCA Fest especially significant is its purpose. This is not simply a shopping and food event: it is an initiative that directly supports community development. Proceeds from the food sales help fund the YWCAs programmes, including the running of two schools for underprivileged children. This year, we are working to raise additional funds to improve the schools infrastructure and create a better learning environment for our students.
To give you a better understanding of our work, the YWCA is an NGO that operates primarily through the proceeds of its activities and the generosity of donors who are committed to building better lives for underprivileged communities. In Bengaluru, we run schools and old-age homes, all supported through these proceeds and contributions.
The event has already demonstrated strong community interest. In previous years, we welcomed approximately 650 visitors without formal marketing or publicity. With the reach and support of Bangalore Times, we are confident that attendance can grow to more than 1,500 visitors this year, enabling us to raise significantly more funds and extend our impact.
YWCA Fest offers Weekend Planner readers an opportunity to discover unique products, enjoy home-style food, support women-led initiatives, and contribute to the education and development of underprivileged children-all in one meaningful outing.
