Navratri Celebration in Ahmedabad
Navratri Garba & Dandiya Nights 2026 in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad's 2026 Navratri season runs 8 to 20 October across five ticketed Garba nights on BookMyShow, with a couple of them starting before or running past the core nine-night window. Prices span ₹199 at the low end to ₹5,000 for the most premium multi-night event. All five are bookable now.
How Many Days Does Navratri Have in 2026?
Nine nights, nine forms of Goddess Durga — that's the core structure everywhere Navratri is celebrated. This year's Sharad Navratri falls Sunday 11 October through Monday 19 October, with Dussehra (Vijayadashami) on the 20th. Ghatasthapana opens the festival on the morning of the 11th. Ahmedabad's Garba season, though, doesn't strictly stick to those nine nights — some venues start early with pre-Navratri specials, and others run a night or two past Dussehra.
Garba, Dandiya Raas, and the Roots of the Navratri Festival
Garba began right here in Gujarat. Dancers move in a circle around a lamp or an image of the goddess, and Ahmedabad is still where the tradition runs deepest — from society courtyards to farmhouse-scale commercial grounds. Dandiya Raas is the stick version, danced in pairs to the same beat. "Sheri Garba" specifically refers to street- and neighbourhood-level Garba, a format Ahmedabad more or less invented and still does better than anywhere else. Whether it's a 900,000 sq ft ground on the outskirts or a lane in an old city pol, Garba and Dandiya Raas are what define these nine nights.
Finding Garba and Dandiya Night Near You in Ahmedabad
That's the ticketed side, though — Ahmedabad's real Garba geography is much bigger. GMDC Ground has been the city's most iconic public Garba venue for decades. Neighbourhoods like Vastrapur, Prahlad Nagar, Satellite, Navrangpura, CG Road, SG Highway, Thaltej, and Maninagar all run their own society and community Garba circles too, every single night of Navratri, ticketed or not. For an actual BookMyShow ticket, though, it's the five events above.
Navratri Passes, Prices, and Booking on BookMyShow
None of Ahmedabad's five ticketed events sell a season or multi-day pass — every single one is sold night by night. PRACHIN MANDLI GARBA is the cheapest at a flat ₹199 a night. Sheri Garba 2026 - Ahmedabad sits at the top, ₹5,000 for any of its three nights. In between, Aarambh 4.0 starts at ₹300, RaasRatri at ₹499, and Dholki Garba at ₹1,000.
