About the movie
Apna Aasmaan is about today's urban aspirations as portrayed by a young couple living in Bombay. The bread winner works in the field of plastics. His wife gives up her early dreams of becoming a classical dancer so as to settle down into marriage which is risked when their only son turns out to be autistic. He is a retarded teenager who has admirable painting skills. His conditions distances the parents as his father gets torn with guilt and mother trying to capitalize on her sons talents. She gets it when a wonder drug does work wonders but at a heavy price.
