About the movie
Asoka is a hindi film, released in the year 2001. The story showcases Asoka during his exile and how he fell in love with a rebel princess. The film further features Asoka, on gaining back his empire, declares a war in which he lost the princess who was fighting from the enemy side. In his regret and to repent, he become a follower of Buddhism in order to spread peace.
