About the movie
The story of the movie, Awakenings, is inspired by the true story of British neurologist Oliver Sacks. In the movie, it was shown a doctor who discovers a beneficial drug for the catatonicpatients. He tested the drug with his own group of patients, where it gave a successful result among the patients suffering from such disease. The story deals with how the patients response after the drug will be conveyed in the movie.
