About the movie
Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone) is an American best selling author. She is in a speeding car with football star Kevin Franks (Stan Collymore), when she takes his hand and starts masturbating with it. The speed of the car increases, and Tramell veers off the road and crashes into the West India Docks in Canary Wharf, as she is about to reach orgasm. During the interrogation, she says, ''When it came down to it, I guess my life was more important to me than his.''
She is taken into psychiatric evaluation by Dr. Michael Glass (David Morrissey) who thinks she is a sociopath with little regard for other's lives. Soon, Tramell starts playing mind games with Glass, putting his life into turmoil.
Then, Glass' ex-wife's journalist partner who is writing a negative story about Glass, is killed one night. Glass suspects Tramell and soon begins a string of murders, much to Glass' dismay who is convicted for all of those murders.
One day, Glass confronts Tramell at her apartment where she shows him her next novel, The Analyst. She tells him that all these murders are a part of the story of the novel and the victims, Glass and Tramell; form the characters of the novel. He also realises that the character based on Tramell is going to kill a therapist based on Glass's colleague, Dr. Milena Gardosh (Charlotte Rampling).
He runs to Gardosh's apartment to warn him, finding Tramell at the scene. Is he able to save him, or falls prey to Tramell's another mind game?
