About the movie
Chandappa supports Shashikant Desai in an election against Mallappa, hoping the village will gain basic amenities. But after winning, Desai becomes corrupt and forgets his promises. Meanwhile, his sister Bheemavva admires Chandappa's integrity and falls for him. As Chandappa continues to stand for the villagers, Desai plots to eliminate him. What happens next forms the climax.
