About the movie
Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl who escapes hardship and an uncertain future and follows her dreams to Los Angeles. After a string of rejections, Ali stumbles upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater. Burlesque's outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture Ali, who vows to perform at the venue.
