About the movie
Chocolat is based on a novel by the same name, wriiten by Joanne Harris. Chocolat is about a chocolatier who moves to a French village from Europe, along with her six-year-old daughter. Over there, she struggles to develop her business and to win over the villagers. Meanwhile, the mayor of the village tries to destroy her business.
