About the movie
Gabrielle `Coco` Chanel is an orphan who works in a provincial bar. She gains entry into the French high society through Baron Balsan (Belgian actor Benot Poelvoorde) and develops a fetish for designing hats.
She falls in love with an English businessman Arthur Capel (American Alessandro Nivola) who later dies in a car accident leaving her shattered. However, Coco still runs the business that Capel help her set up as a token of their love and his belief in her talents.
