Ghasyari
About the movie
Set in the mountains of Uttarakhand, Ghasyari follows the gruelling everyday lives of the women who hold their families together. Their days begin at dawn with long treks into the forest to gather grass for their cattle and firewood for the hearth, followed by hours of labour in the fields and the endless demands of home. Braving the constant threat of leopards and bears, they carry on without complaint. A tribute to their courage and quiet resilience, the film celebrates the unbroken spirit of the women of the hills.
