About the movie
Based on Samaresh Majumdar`s book of the same title, Kaal Bela is about a young man Animesh Mitra who actively participates in a Communist faction, making him a suspect of aiding and supporting the Naxalite movement in Bengal. He meets a young woman, Madhabilata who stands firm in her support for him and his ideals. But their lives change when he is convicted and put behind bars.
