The Last Meal
About the movie
Set in 1931 British India, against the backdrop of the freedom struggle, The Last Meal follows Bhoga, a sweeper branded an untouchable, who is chosen to prepare revolutionary Bhagat Singh's last meal as his final wish. But when Bhagat Singh is hanged ahead of his scheduled execution, the meal is never delivered. The film confronts the harsh reality of untouchability that persisted even as the nation fought for its freedom.
