Kunba (Haryanvi)
About the movie
The story of the film revolves around the life of Ranvir Singh, alias Babuji who belongs to a middle class family and patriarchally wields an unquestionable sway over his Kunba (a large family comprising sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren).
His eldest son, a Major in the Army, is abruptly killed in an Army operation against terrorists while Babuji himself suffers an attack of cerebral hemorrhage. This gives a shattering blow to the Kunba unity and results in his being sent to an old-age home by his remaining two sons and their wives.
The film is thus a veritable portrayal of the ills of the present-day social order in which elderly people miserably suffer because of the callous indifference of the young generation.
